Sharing Evaluation Results with Schools

Oftentimes, parents seek evaluations that they can share with schools for consideration for student eligibility decisions. Parents can share reports of evaluations with schools for consideration for accommodations, modifications, and services. We are skilled in preparing reports that are useful for school districts, and we are knowledgeable about district procedures and programs, state standards, and curriculum and instructional practices. We are also skilled in interpreting school progress monitoring data when available and will integrate it with our assessment results when conceptualizing a student’s needs.

Each school district outlines information specific to the special programs that they offer and the corresponding eligibility criteria in their Exceptional Student Education Policies and Procedures (SP&P) manual. Each district also outlines its policy on private evaluations. It is recommended that you review these documents prior to initiating an evaluation with any private psychologist. Please also take the time to explore the valuable resources available on each district’s website.
